AMSI condemns targeting Kadhimiya visitors and the prevention of Friday prayers in Adhamiya

    Association of Muslim Scholars strongly condemns the actions of the Maliki government , which prevented the worshipers from attending Friday prayers in Adhamiya , representing this behavior and practices as a sectarian discrimination and intentional marginalization, in the context of a systematic approach used by al-Maliki government and its security agencies.
    The Association strongly condemns, in a press release issued by the Section of Culture and Information, the actions of the Maliki government , which provided protection for visitors to the Kadhimiya and prevented thousands of worshipers from attending Friday prayers in Adhamiya.
    The Association attributed to the people of Adhamiya district as saying : The government forces blocked all roads leading to the Mosque of Imam Abu Hanifa using barbed wire, start shooting, hit the worshipers and insults by saying sectarian and indecent words.
     At the end of the press release, Association of Muslim Scholars strongly condemns killing and wounding dozens of the visitors of Imam al-Kadhim in three attacks targeted them in the districts of Nahdha, Mansour and Sha'ab.
