Earthquake In Iran, tremors felt in the opposite side of the Gulf.

An earthquake with a magnitude of more than five on the Richter scale ,on Tuesday morning, hit a number of areas near the Strait of Hormuz, southern Iran , but there were no reports of casualties or damage .

The American Institute of Geophysics said : " The earthquake was strong ( 5.1 ) degrees occurred at ten o'clock am local Tehran time, 4.5 GMT, about ( 66 kilometers ) south of the city ( Kishim ) south of the capital ."

Reports indicated that the frequencies of the quake reached the city ( Bandar Abbas), coastal , and that the residents of a number of Gulf cities felt the quake , which shook the towers in Dubai for about ten seconds , but there were no reports about evacuation operations .

For his part , the seismic center of the Sultan Qaboos University in the Sultanate of Oman said : "The number of residents of the Sultanate , especially in the northern regions of the province ( Musandam ) felt the quake which had a magnitude of 5.6 degrees and occurred at a depth of 6.4 kilometers ," also the monitoring earthquakes center of the Institute of physical Geography at the University of Tehran said, " the strength of the quake at 5.2 degrees ," which was confirmed by state news agency ( IRNA ) of Iran .. pointing out that there have been no casualties or damage.

It is worth mentioning that Iran is situated on large seismic lines , in last November, very dangerous earthquake in Southern Iran (Bushehr) killed eight people and wounded about 45 others injured in an earthquake measuring 5.7 degrees hit the city ( Brazjan ), where the power plant 's only nuclear country.
