Hamas refuses announcement of the unity government

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has rejected declaration of any national unity government does not include the ministry of prisoners, which has already gathered with one of the ministries in the new government.

On the other hand, the Zionist entity was announced that it would impose economic sanctions on any Palestinian government includes Hamas.

A senior Hamas leader in the occupied West Bank, Sheikh Hassan Yousef, said on that his movement rejects the idea of dissolving the ministry of prisoners.

President, Mahmoud Abbas, has demanded the dissolution of the ministry of prisoners, that Riyad Al-Maliki take the position of foreign minister and that the Pilgrimage Committee be detached from the Awqaf ministry.

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu-Zuhri said that the disputes have meant the announcement of the unity government has been delayed.

Several Palestinian sources said that discussions over the unity government, which should have finished on Thursday, are ongoing.

The prisoners file official in Hamas, Tawfiq Abu Naim, during a march organized by the Movement against the decision of dissolution of the ministry of prisoners said : "It can not accept the government of national unity without a ministry of prisoners,  especially in current circumstances where the prisoners on hunger strike", saying that the presence of the ministry, which was a decision of the late President (Yasser Arafat), formed over the past years a factor to support the prisoners and their families, also Abu Naim appealed the President Abbas to reverse this decision; for the sake of national interest.
