On anniversary of Jerusalem occupation; solidarity marches begin

After Friday prayers people's marches scoured several Arab and European capitals and cities on the occasion of the 'Global March of Jerusalem', under the slogan (supporting prisoners and Misra) to commemorate fourty-seventh anniversary to occupy the eastern part of the Holy City in 1967.
Press sources said that several marches set off from mosques in the Gaza Strip after Friday prayers, gathered outside the office of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza .. noting that the Palestinian and Islamic figures had alerted during their speech about the Judaization of the holy city of Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque, also confirmed solidarity with the hunger-striking prisoners in the prisons of the Zionist occupation for more than (40) days.

Ismail Haniya, head of the former Palestinian government in Gaza and Hamas senior leader said in a speech on this occasion that "Palestinian reconciliation is the biggest support to the issue of Jerusalem, Hamas and resistance factions will not give up weapon, stressing that resistance is the most effective way for the Liberation of Jerusalem ".. calling for the unification of efforts to achieve this goal.

The sources pointed out that the activities of the 'Global March of Jerusalem' took place in 80 cities of 42 countries in the world, including the ring countries and other Arab countries as well as Islamic and European countries.

Earlier, Yassin Hammoud, Director General of the International Jerusalem Foundation, call on the masses of the Palestinian, Arab and all public institutions and official to participate strongly and effectively in the march in order to send a message to the occupation authorities that Arabs and Muslims will protect Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and will maintain the sanctities.
