His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Hareth Sulaiman al Dari, Secretary General of the Association of Muslims Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) sent a message to the Iraqi people on behalf of AMSI on occassion of the fifth anniversary of the Anglo-American occupation.

HEYET Net – At his message Sheikh Dari called all Iraqis for demonstration to express their stable rejection of the occupation, to demand their pull out.  

His Eminence also praised the Iraqi Resistance calling to deal with the attempts to discredit its reputation.  

Sheikh Dari described the Iraqi Resistance as proud of Iraqis.  

Following is the text of the letter: 

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate the Merciful, 

Open letter from the Association of Muslim Scholars to the Iraqi people on occasion of the fifth anniversary of the occupation of Iraq.  

Dear Iraqi People, 

O people of Rafidain, 

May peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.  

the United States of America led unjust aggression on you with some European allies and others in 2003, in the early twentieth century, which people hoped to be the best century, freedom, security and peace; not a century of wars, occupation and colonization. But the United States of America led by its current president ( Bush wanted) to be so using various pretexts for aggression; and others found it illusory and not exist; denied it itself after a while 

This was enough to stand of the enemy on the absence of reasons, and an apology…at least for the Iraqi people to infection from the injury and damage. 

However the will of evil American Administration only continued its aggression over the past five years and still continues the forms and methods of barbarism that knows neither mercy nor morality.  

I assure you all and entire world what the enemy did are just false pretexts; however they have done to demolish Iraq, to end strength, to break unity, to undermine the civilization and human beings, to seize the sources of wealth particularly oil which has enacted a law taking away most of this wealth in multiple ways and techniques.  

This is what they seek by means of various, including the criminal war continued for five years, which destroyed the Iraqi state and people, and his legacy open to all enemies of Iraq who hate and have aspirations. Thus Iraq became a field of conflict and the various forces of settling accounts with them.

This is being done under the pretext of so-called “War on Terrorism” which was not previously known to Iraq only after the aggression. This aggression opened the doors of evil against Iraq and its people resulting martyr of more than one million Iraqis, about three million injured, disabled, immigrated, and affected by deadly diseases like cancer and the others. All these were the result of the American Administration that gifted depleted uranium, white phosphorus, other evil weapons of mass destruction and democratic tools along with more than;

Five million orphans and million widows mostly under the age of thirty in according to the reports of UNHRC.

Over 150.000 prisoners and detainees under the occupation, the government and affiliated militia prisons.

Raids, arrests and assassinations still continue most of whose bodies are being thrown in the streets of Baghdad while there are unknown bodies on the streets as well.

In addition, three million immigrant inside Iraq suffer from deprivation in hot winter and cold winter. About four million Iraqi immigrants live abroad mostly below the poverty line.

Iraqis live under food shortages, poor health conditions, lack of education services, widespread unemployment and poverty among the majority of the Iraqi people.

The Occupation and so-called Political Process

The United States used everything inflicted on Iraq and its people from the devastation, destruction, massacres, bloodshed and hunger to deprivation. The people who are making calculations on Iraq do not belong to origin or culture of Iraq. They are neither loyal to Iraq nor Iraqis as far as loyal to their own interests, the interests of their parties and their masters. Iraq's political project called “National Reconciliation” process based on sectarian and ethnic strength, which have given ways widely in raising spirit of sectarianism which had never been exist before in Iraq. This situation also contributed to all the outgrowth of the situation in Iraq from the devastation to destruction.

The main problem is the occupation and its policy that brought all calamities to us and opened all the evil doors; therefore there will be no security and stability unless we get rid of the occupation completely by all its faces as soon as possible.

This imposes us dear brothers: to intensify our claim to expel the occupation, to work with all legitimate means to achieve this; to demonstrate against the occupation in all towns, districts, villages and throughout Iraq to demand the leave of the occupation.

On this occasion we should salute the brave Iraqi resistance in its fifth year. The heroic Iraqi Resistance realized this truth from the beginning and did its religious, national duty and still doing. The occupation recognized that Iraq is not an easy prey; there are many men and women who are ready to sacrifice themselves for Iraq by everything. We have to encourage and bless the resistance for its efforts. We have to protect it from the calumnies of the enemies, their aids from disinformation, distortion and deformation on its reputation. We have to pray Allah Almighty to send His mercy upon our martyrs who became our proud symbols and crowns above our heads. We have to take care of their families and sons.

Call all Iraqis to be united

And at last o you free Iraqis!

Wherever you are in mountains or valleys, in north, south or middle, in the cities, villages or lagoons, in Iraq or abroad; we demand you to be patient and strongly persistence. We also demand you to forgiveness, tolerance and reconciliation, to put aside all disagreements and differences, and never to walk behind the advocates of evil and sedition who do not want goodness for you and your country. Whoever they were and whatever they say we demand you to take care of the houses of your brothers that were forced to leave. You have to consider it as deposit and to give it back when they ask you for it. This is your religious, moral and traditional duty.

“Surely Allah commands you to make over trusts to their owners and that when you judge between people you judge with justice; surely Allah admonishes you with what is excellent; surely Allah is Seeing, Hearing. (The Holy Qur’an, Nisa, 58)

The messenger of Allah Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “All things of a Muslim are inviolable for his brother in faith; his blood, his wealth and his honor, so and by this you will be saved from the seditions and closed all the doors in the occupation's face that tries to destroy your unity and your country (May Allah forbid it).

You know all of them and know their targets so you don't have any excuse to follow your disagreements and your hostilities that no need for.

The Biggest Happiness

In conclusion, we invite you to be ready for the real patriotic reconciliation that will be the biggest happiness when we get rid of the occupation and get your home back. We have no doubt about it.

Our motto will be under the name of “Allah has forgiven what is past” and it will based on Allah's (swt) word: “Those who spend (benevolently) in ease as well as in straitness, and those who restrain (their) anger and pardon men; and Allah loves the doers of good (to others) (Ali Imran, 134) and also “Within a few years. With Allah is the Command, in the past and in the Future: on that Day shall the Believers rejoice-With the help of Allah. He gives victory to whom He will, and He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. (It is) the promise of Allah. Never does Allah fail from His promise: but most men know not. (Rûm, 4-6)
