His Eminence Sheikh Hareth al Dhari the Secretary General of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) gave a speech at the Arab National Congress meeting held in Sanaa, the capital city of Yemen focusing on the importance of Palestinian cause for the Iraqi people despite what is going on through the difficulties.

HEYET Net -  At the beginning of the speech His Eminence Sheikh al Dari thanked to the Conference Secretariat to invite him to attend this conference.  

He said that Iraqi people have made many sacrifices, strongly resisted against the occupation, gave heavy losses and is ready to provide more than that.  

Al Dhari stressed that the occupation is obviously tries to bring projects to replace other projects and conventions after failed to win and achieve military victory in Iraq.  

Dari said: “The occupation wants to impose on those who have been appointed in Iraq through so-called political process to pass some projects such as oil law. They want to plunder the wealth of Iraq - which is indeed its sons - and order of domination by the monopolistic oil companies of American, British and others. 

At the end of his speech Secretary General of AMSI called all participants in this conference to ensure its final declaration to the Arab States for declaration of rejection of the division (of Iraq). “Because federalist division is thought to be imperative for Iraq, indeed it is not. We call for the Arab states to deal with the current Iraqi Government as the occupation government and not a legitimate government.  

The excerpts from the speech: 

“In the name of Allah, the Compassionate the Merciful, 

Praise be to Allah Almighty, peace and blessings be upon the last Prophet Muhammad, His Family and companions, 

PALESTINIAN CAUSE IS OUR BELIEF 

I will confine myself to the subject of Iraq, but whatever the topic of Iraq, an important and necessary to talk, and what is happening in Iraq, the importance of this issue does not overcome the importance of Palestine, its cause and siege of Gaza. It is (Palestine) our first word and deed that will not distract us enormous events experienced with and may continue in Iraq. The issue of Palestine is our belief that has two sides one coin is the Arab and second one is the Ummah (the Islamic nation). The existence and identity of the piece of brothers are threatened; such a conference should bring all of us together. This combination of the great sons of the ummah, their own intellectuals has to maintain the unity to a leap first acquaintance with each other. Then they should identify what each of us has. When we start to work together, different thoughts and our curricula could be different, unfortunately some people are willing to make their fences sift brother from his brother and ummah… 

I believe that Arab people are alive and are able to restore the life to this nation and take their rulers; however its rulers can be encouraged to take the correct behaviors that benefit the ummah and serve to take the power to approve what is good and righteousness. Therefore the ummah should not waste the time on issues of intellectual theorizing in cases in which issues can be spoken neither in private meetings at leisure and in times of capacity in such times nor in this conference which is disbursed by the exchange of time. At this time we have not achieved something. Yes, there are pressures here and so and so we have not achieved such a conference. Therefore we must be careful in this time and at this conference… 

If we go back to Iraq…Brothers! 

Iraq has witnessed the unjust aggression since five years. You know this aggression but by far not decided anything on the subject of Iraq because of the aggression. Alhamdulillah the aggressors were surprised by the response which they did not expect from the Iraqis. The response was so strong and harsh. This response was unable to have heard that there is a lot of leadership. On the other hand this response (resistance) provided the failure and disappointment of the occupation, their projects and others relied on them who came with them or joined the occupation trying to enter Iraq. Now they have failed to pass all of projects which was hoped to be passed after the military occupation.  

The occupation resorted to other ways and through its collaborators tried to achieve some of the projects before they leave entirely or at least to leave this foolish administration criminalizing against Iraq and Iraqis.  

THE OCCUPATION AND WAR IS ABSURD 

If a war is a losing war it is absurd to go on; if the destination is unknown it is again absurd to go on. However the war still goes on; because some parties are still benefiting from this war even if the Iraqis and Americans are loosing. Yes, the Americans lost, the Iraqi people lost, lost. Despite this, the occupation and war continues… 

I do not say much about this matter because the lost is a profit of honor for us, because we think that we won the acceptance of Allah Almighty (ridha lillah) the most valuable things… 

I say it is not an exaggeration brothers...We are ready to submit our times…During the past five years more than one million martyred and are still willing to make millions martyr because Iraq deserves... With help of Allah Almighty and determination of its people Iraq will not kneel and return to his nation despite tears, multiple enemies, despite the multiplicity of the projects… 

Iraqis will be willing to endure twice or more that showed during the last period. We expect that at the past period (with help of Allah Almighty) all the estimates announced by the occupation on the losses are much less than the reality. The reality of the ground is different. In 2006 they were about to defeat or withdraw. The Senate does not say yes, however the occupation is coming to the end and started to suddenly disappear with help of Allah Azze. The occupation feels penitence on what was spent from the fund and Landman who gave the U.S. administration some time or give an outlet for injection saying victory in Iraq even to be a partial victory. However the ultimate victory will be for Iraq and Iraqis… 

Dear Brothers! 

What we want is not to break losses, not to enumerate the enemy… 

THE PROJECTS OF OCCUPATION: FEDERALISM  

We have said that the occupation is obviously wanted to put the projects into actions such as oil law and etc through their staffs in Iraq who are appointed during the political process. Then to pass the law or the convention on long-term security in Iraq, other conventions -including what happened and what were not signed – that are most important to accelerate the issue of municipal elections which are part of the theme of federalism, such as dividing Iraq.  

We request all the Arab States to put the rejection of the division of Iraq in the closing statement. Because the federal division of Iraq is inevitable… 

IRAQI GOVERNMENT: NOT LEGITIMATE 

The final declaration must include a paragraph in this conference to be sent to the Arab countries, Muslim countries, Arabic, Islamic organizations and all Muslims to stand up against this issue and to make revocation of this action. Because this division would be a catastrophe not only for Iraq but for the entire region that will gradually affect the rest of the Arab countries, neighboring Iraq and others… Therefore, at this framework the Arabic States cut the diplomatic relations and did not sent ambassadors to this government till now. They must not do this action now on for this government which does not enjoy national legislation and Sharia Law.  

Arabic States should not give some kind of credibility to this government… 

At last the Arabic States should deal with this Iraqi Government as “the occupation government and not a legitimate government…
