The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) issued an open letter addressed to the great Iraqi people on 29 Safar 1428 - 19 March 2007 on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the Anglo-American occupation of Iraq.

“American project is bankrupted in Iraq and the victory is very near” told in the letter.

O Hero Iraqi People!

Assalamu aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

May the Peace, Mercy and Grace of Allah (swt) be upon you.

While our country enters the fourth year of the occupation, it is going from bad to the worse. We have lost over eight hundred and thousand of our children till now. It has been a long oppression which killed, arrested and abused our woman, boys, olds and man. Even our children did not escape from this tyranny.

70 percent of our country’s infrastructures were destroyed. There are no longer services until we die from cold in the winter and from hot in the summer. We are cooking meals with woods in the twenty-first century! We are thirsting despite abundance of water and get sick owing to not drinking healthy water. 

As for the displacement, millions of our citizens forced to emigrate. Half of them emigrated in the country and became as immigrants in their own country. Half of them left their homes and living in tents or in other people’s houses.

Those oppressed people are complaining their state only to Allah (swt) Almighty. Other people who emigrated from their country suffer troubles of being forcedly emigrated from their country.

We are not poor. Our country is rich, however today it is being plundered.

As a result of all this our country has become the worst country of impropriety in according to the international organizations’ evaluation. It could be recognized by everybody from near to far.

The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) says that : “In spite of all these realities, the occupation forces are still lying and continue to raise their voice shamelessly  as saying : “We brought freedom to you and we saved you from tyranny?!”

Yes… They brought us the freedom of forest! Now, these murderers are free in our Iraq. Murderer occupation forces, intelligence services and criminal gangs kill our citizens without prosecution and plunder our properties.

On the other side, the Iraqi Government which is also installed by the occupation does the same actions and it is not accountable as well. This is the freedom that at last we got it.

People began to look for the former injustice which they claimed to save us from it. However, the new tyranny which they sustained is the worst one on the world community.

Dear Iraqis!

We are aware of the dimension of difficulty which surrounds all of us.

However, the occupation is this… It understands only killing; and feeds from killing and blood.

In all the countries in the world which are occupied, the choice is always “Resistance”.

Today, we - the people of this country- have no choice except resistance in confronting with this occupation.

The Iraqi Resistance toppled the projects of the occupation and gave an unforgettable lesson to them. The message of this historical lesson was: Nations never defeats! Those huge weapons and ammunitions do not have any worth to those nations especially to the honorable Muslim Iraqi nation who wants their freedom.

The history writes proud Iraqi nation is noble and never submits humiliation!!!

Dear Gentleman!

We thank to Allah (swt) Almighty for favoring and preserving the resistance which is started by our children. Thanks to Allah (swt) Almighty and then to our children, sons and unknown resistance fighters who gave their lives for the future of Iraq.

The resistance gave more and more pain to the occupation and forced them to give up their goals. Today, occupation forces are living the worst day ever. They are submitting the pressures of their nations and politicians to escape unconditionally till their dreams will be disappeared.
 

All this became by means of Allah (swt) Almighty firstly, then those unknown devoted of your sons who gave their lives for the restoration of security, safety and stability for all of you.

Those loyal sons always need your supports to complete their task which was set out on the way to eternal Heaven with the grace of Allah (swt).

Dear Brothers!

The occupation and its collaborators attempt to distort the image of the resistance in the eyes of Iraqis with spending billions of dollars. They pretend the brave resistance to be terrorist and murderer. The occupation forces both kill innocent people and blame the resistance. They sometimes infiltrating into the small resistance groups and using them in direction of their aims.

We want to remind you of quotations from some senior members of CIA in a program “Hidden Wars of CIA” in an Arab Channel. They told: “We were ordered to kill women, children and businessmen to spread terror among them in Vietnam war!!!”

This is the reality…
