The General Secretariat of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (HEYET) issued a statement number (623) where it has condemned a series of bombings against the city of Kadhimiya in Baghdad.

HEYET stressed in the statement that who stands behind the bombings wants the American presence to continue in the pretext of lack of security. Because they are linked by the presence or absence of the occupation.

The statement said: "Although there are false allegations made by the American occupation forces and officials in the current government on so-called improved security situation in the country, many of the wounded Iraqi cities over the past week have witnessed tragic events claimed the lives of dozens of innocent citizens eithere killed or wounded. The last one was the deadliest of the blasts that is witnessed in Kadhimiya city, north of Baghdad killing and injuring about 190 people.”

The statement of HEYET/AMSI said “Government officials - as their usual character - after each blast accuse foreign parties of being behind these incidents in a desperate attempt to distance themselves (government) from what they caused by the clumsy policy.

This policy of the crimes and atrocities are designed to disrupt the unity of the Iraqi people sowing the seeds of sedition between the sons of the country. It has become known by everybody in this time about what is happening in rivalry and conflict between government officials at the centers and the date of the looting of the country away from all the meanings of humanity.”

The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (HEYET) pointed out main objective behind all this and other events as the presence of ugly occupation, under pretexts and flimsy arguments of the officials included in the current government to continue domination over the neck of Iraqis as longest as possible.
