International Palestine Symposium held by International the Union of NGOs of the Islamic World (UNIW) in Istanbul was ended between 30-31 May 2009. In the symposium protocol speeches, His Eminence Sheikh al Dhari delivered a speech thanking at the symposium organizers led by Secretary general of UNIW Necmi Sadıkoğlu as well Turkey which he described as “the muslim that clarified its authenticity and commitment and care for Ummah”. His Eminence stressed that the issue of Palestine should not be absent at the mind of Muslims saying: “The issue of Palestine should be borne in mind. It should not be forgotten even if the time goes, the situation and circumstances are difficult. Palestine, Quds and Masjed al Aqsa must be at the conscience of every Muslim. Jerusalem is the second Muslim Kaaba which was accepted as the first Ka'bah.” On the other hand, Sheikh Harith al-Dari warned Israelis not to try to inflame the sentiments of Muslims all over the world through the harassment of Jerusalem and the Aqsa mosque saying: "The harassment and intrigue will be boomerang on you (Israelis). Because harassment and fire maliciousness will be adding fuel day after day." He added: "The Israelis in Jerusalem, when harassed with al Quds, and when they are today trying to abolish the Al-Aqsa Mosque with their malicious excavations, they will with the help of God dig their graves."
