International Forum to Support Resistance has officially opened on Friday, 15 January 2010 at Beirut the capital city of Lebanon. His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Hareth Sulaiman al Dhari Secretary General of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (HEYET) attended to the opening ceremony along with many representatives of resistance factions, opposition groups, personalities from the Islamic, Arab World and around the world.

Famous Muslim scholars Sheikh Youssef al Qaradawi and HAMAS Politburo Chief Khalid Meshaal were among the participants.

The forum will be two days where all forms of resistance will be discussed during dialogues and workshops including political, economic, legal, educational and cultural resistance and the role of global civil society to embrace and support the resistance.
