Every day we hear of a new security plan and a military operation aimed to impose "law and order" in Iraq.

The process of “imposing law” in the capital city Baghdad was continuing since February 2007 until today, but did not achieve certain objectives. Yesterday was "Knights Arrival" in the governorates of Basra, southern Iraq, and today the " Rights Arrival," or what is called "Lion’s Roar " in Mosul City. 

Here we talk about security plans of the government not about the daily plans which the American occupation forces continuously tries to impose its useless security in Iraq.

What is the true dimensions and objectives of these operations? 

Al-Maliki Government in its campaign on the city of Basra yesterday claimed that it aimed to "restore the order" in the south; however all the Iraqis know that the real objective is the existence of al-Sadr followers in the southern provinces for political reasons related to the balance of Shiite power and to prevent them having dominance in municipal elections in the south which will be held in next October, at the expense of the Supreme Islamic Council which is headed by Abdel Aziz al-Hakim and the Dawa Party, which is headed by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. 

Today under the pretext of pursuing al-Qaida fighters the government forces backed by American occupation forces, militias belonging to the parties participated in government and specifically Peshmarga Kurdish forces launched attacks and during this campaign arrested more than 600 people so far, including 120 officers from the former Iraqi army officers in addition to the officials from the various sectors in former regime.

In this campaign also dozens of university professors and students were indiscriminate and barbarically arrested.  

Ninowa Governorate Clans Council held an emergency meeting after a day of the beginning of the military campaign describing the campaign as retaliatory action aimed at officers from former Iraqi army who participated in a national duty and mission in the Iraq-Iran war.We can identify a set of the true objectives of this campaign as following:  

1. To eliminate the elements of national groups rejecting the foreign presence on Iraqi ground to make up a step leading ultimately to weaken the resistance in Mosul.

2. To take revenge on the former Iraqi army officers from the people of  Mosul city and punish because of the heroic leading position in modern Iraqi history, and their  heroic stand in the Iranian danger coming from the eastern gate of the Arab nation more than eight years.

3. Kurds attempts to weaken the Arab presence in some areas adjacent to Mosul City from Dohuk, Erbil, specifically the areas of Aqrah, Sinjar and Fayideh in favor of the Kurdish parties which claim that these areas should include the so-called "Kurdistan region of Iraq" because of the existence of the Kurdish majority, as it claims.

4. The Deputy Mohammad al Dayni clarified in one of the Iraqi satellite channels, after a campaign of Mosul, that there are Kurdish recommendations and military plans on Mosul as if there had intentions in advance, and described the  Kurds Parliaments in the Iraqi parliament as if they have enmity in Mosul and not speaking as the statesmen attribution?!. 

Maliki is trying to beautify his position to Iran and its supporters after the big criticisms made against him because of military campaigns against the Sadr Movement in the south and Sadr City in Baghdad attempted to show its neutrality in dealing with the Iraqis but only after the latest agreement with al Sadr Trend which happened before one day of the beginning of Mosul Campaign.

This campaign carries many suspicious questions; while Maliki was insisting on the elimination of militias and the condition of handing over their weapons today we see a new agreement is done with al Sadr where the issue of disarming Mahdi Army militia was not addressed.

These campaigns led to the arrest of thousands are neither kill nor and stem the spirit of resistance from the hearts of the people of Mosul who are known with their courage, patience and characteristic attitudes position. 

al Maliki Government has to stop these malicious campaigns based on lists and intelligence information goes to back in 2004 as stated by MP Mohammed Amin Othman (these lists are old and may be malicious). 

 
Where are the organs of the modern state which Maliki strongholds their presence in Iraq today, while the arrests go on in the light of the lists provided more than three years ago?!

  
 
It is assumed that these names had been included in General Amnesty Law because Iraqi Deputy President many times confirmed that of wanted for the State was unable to be completed whom are covered by this decision.  

This apparent imitation in dealing with the Iraqi people can not lead to what he called al-Maliki of "national reconciliation" that requires the first requirement to deal with the Iraqis to be on the basis of citizenship and not on the basis of sect.
