Turkish military aircraft have bombed eight Kurdistan Wokers Party (PKK) bases in northern Iraq in the latest
in a series of strikes, Turkey's General Staff has said. The armed forces said in a statement it would continue its offensive against the outlawed separatist PKK fighters inside Turkey and across the border in northern Iraq. Wednesday's raid was undertaken after "it was determined that a large group of terrorists, who have been watched for a long time, are preparing to pass the winter in eight caves and hideouts in the Zap region," the statement said.
