At the Islamic Fatwa AMSI Fatwa Section said:

“We had heard and obtained in certainty documentation with pictures, date and the program that Iraqi Airways had been distributed in some meals provided to the passengers some sort of Danish products ((a butter to Europe "LURPAK" Danish non-salted butter)) and so on 4 / 6 / 2008 m Board a plane coming from Damascus to Baghdad one p.m. As this act totally contradicts with the principle that the boycott Danish products given fatwas by Muslim scholars and all references to Islamic Sharia in Muslim countries because of the Danish abuses to the Prophet "PBUH".

AMSI reminds and warns the Iraqi Airways company to the need and the necessity of re-correcting this imbalance by championing the Messenger of God "Muhammad", then it will be at least a support to Nasra Prophet "peace be upon him."

It is noteworthy that the Fatwa Commission in the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) had already given a fatwa concerning this heinous issue at that time. At the fatwa AMSI had emphasized the need to boycott all Danish products and made a call to the Muslim to the need to operationalize it in circles, public institutions, restaurants and all kinds of trade.

At the end of Fatwa AMSI said: “We ask Allah Almighty to reconcile all Muslims.”
