In two separate incidents four army and police members were wounded in Mosul City. An explosive device exploded targeted a police patrol in Yarmouk area west of Mosul resulting injury of three police officers.
Meanwhile one army soldier also wounded as a result of sniper fire in Souq al Maash west of Mosul. The source did not disclose more details about the incident but pointed out that "the wounded were transferred to hospital to receive treatment." It is noteworthy that current Iraqi army and police forces sometimes along with sectarian militias are regularly being targeted by the resistance factions for their disproportionate military operations, kidnappings, murders and assassinations of heavily civilian populated areas most of which are against the occupation and the policy of the government.
