Polish Ambassador to Baghdad has resigned after a fire resistance injury in Baghdad last year. HEYET Net - Polish Ambassador Edward Pietrzyk in Iraq has resigned who was the rank of general after his return to Iraq. A source at the Polish Foreign Ministry said that the wounds have not healed Pietrzyk and he requires a special atmosphere as not providing in Iraq. Pietrzyk was wounded on October 3, 2007, when a roadside bomb hit the convoy in which he was travelling near the Polish Embassy in Iraq.Two people, a Government Protection Bureau officer and an Iraqi civilian were killed in the attack, while 14 others were wounded. The Pietrzyk fill the post of Commander of Land Forces Polish cooperating with American occupation forces in addition to the post of ambassador. HEYET Net
