Spokesman for the Sadrist parliamentary bloc MP Ahmed al-Masoudi has expected the U.S. administration to accept the Iraqi proposed amendments to the security agreement, "playing its agreed upon role with the Iraqi government, aiming to endorse the agreement."
![]() He said "This scenario started when the first rejection to intended agreement was expressed, as the government wants to give the false impression that it has imposed its opinion on the American side, and that the latter has made many concessions over the agreement," considering the aim is "to absorb the anger of the people."
He further described the amendment demanded by the Iraqi government as "form-related and do not address the agreement's essence." HEYET Net
