The United Nations Mission affirmed that its offices in Baghdad were mortar shelled on Saturday morning, November 29.
![]() A statement issued by the Mission said, "A rocket shell fell, on Saturday morning, near the UN complex, it resulted in the killing of three persons and wounding fourteen others, all victims are worker for a firm that supplies the mission with food stuff." It added, "None of the Mission's employees, local and foreign, is hurt." Earlier in the day, a security source said, "Two mortar shells hit the headquarters of the United Nations Mission located in the Green Zone, central Baghdad, killing two persons and wounding fifteen others, most of them are none Iraqi contractors."
