A source from so-called leadership of Ninowah mentioned that on Sunday 18 citizens were arrested in various areas of Musul City.

 

The source said that the police force arrested today (30.11.2008-Sunday) 16 citizens following the raids and searches in al Mushada and al Faruk areas in Mosul City.

 

The source added that another force of the Iraqi army arrested a citizen in the north of Rashidiyah north of Mosul disclosing more details of the arrested people indicating that the detainees were being investigated.

It is noteworthy that the occupation and the current government forces have carried out random arrests of dozens of innocent citizens under pretext of being members of al-Qaeda.
