One group of the Iraqi resistance in the statement claimed responsibility of an operation targeting the American occupation forces in Diyala province.

The statement said that: "After depending on God, a group of brothers in the (Diyala Jihadi Brigade) detonated an explosive device against the American Moon Carriers in the province of Diyala, which has led to the burning of the tanker..."
