An improvished explosive device went off targeting a mechanism of the American occupation forces on the road linking Rawat-Anbar province of western Iraq on Thursday.

Witnesses said that a minesweeper wheel which was among the convoy left from Rawat and were going to al Kaim City was subjected to an improvised explosive device on the outskirts of al Hissi village which caused total destruction of wheel."

The witnesses stated that "the occupation forces blocked the area of attack for several hours, and aircraft was flying over the region."
