An improvished explosive device went off at morning (Thursday) targeting a convoy of U.S.occupation troops in Hilla City of northern Babil province, said a source in the government police.

The source pointed out that the device went off during the passage of the occupation convoy in the Nile district in the governorate of Babil. It gave no further details about casualties while occupation forces surrounded the place.

The city of Hilla, Babil province, is located 90 kilometers to the south west of the capital Baghdad.
