1920 Revolution Brigades of Jihad and Change Front one of the Iraqi Resistance umbrella organization in its statement claimed responsibility of shelling al-Bakr air base of U.S. occupation forces in north of the capital Baghdad.

The statement said: "Allah Almighty supported your brothers from 1920 Revolution Brigades in northern Baghdad, to be able to bomb the headquarters of American occupation forces in al-Bakr air base with missile. The attack was direct and effective."
