Thermal grenade explosion targeted a patrol of the American occupation forces in the city of Tikrit, causing substantial damage to one of the rotating mechanism.

A government source said that "the explosion occurred in downtown Tikrit resulted in the destruction of American wheel."  without giving any further details about the incident."

It is noteworthy that the American occupation forces mostly take immediate actions cordoning off the scene where it is difficult to know the material and humanitarian losses among the enemy ranks.
