An improvished explosive device went off at night (Monday), targeted a patrol of U.S. occupation forces east of Baiji in Diyala province, according to a government source.

The source pointed out that the device exploded during passing of an enemy patrol on the main road linking Khanaqe and Muqdadiya.

The source did not give further details about the size of the losses and human casualties among the ranks of the "American enemy forces", because of the closure of the scene.
