An improvished explosive device went off targeting a U.S. occupation patrol in the area of Talibiyah of eastern Baghdad,  in the morning today (Thursday).

A government source confirmed the attack saying "U.S. forces sealed off the scene of the blast and prevented people and cars to approach, which made it impossible to know the human and material cost of the patrol."

However war analysists and resistance observers indicate effectiveness of such a high and mortar explosive devices which are used by the Iraqi Resistance generally destroying Hummer, Humvee, Stryrker and other kinds of armoured wheels as well as killing or wounding its crew.
