American occupation forces patrol was subjected to an attack which led one wheel materially damaged in northern Baquba with an explosion.Government sources confirmed the attack saying: "An American patrol was subjected to bomb attack that was planted at the main road in al Khalis district of Dali Abbas, northern Baquba."

The source added that enemy forces immediately closed the incident area off where a wheel wad damaged. Human losses among the enemy ranks are not known.
