1920 Revolution Brigades of the effective resistance faction Jihad and Change Front claimed responsibility of killing one enemy soldier by a sniper operation.
 
The statement of the faction said one soldier of American occupation forces was killed by a sniper belonging to 1920 Revolution Brigade western Iraq section. The dead enemy soldier was standing at one of the checkpoint of American occupation military headquarters.
