An American occupation patrol was attacked on Monday afternoon, July 6, in Dholu'iya district, Salah-al-Deen province.

"An American occupation patrol, consisting of six armored vehicles, was attacked while passing through Mashro' village, eastern Dholu'iya." an Iraqi military source said. 

The source pointed out, "American casualties resulted from the attack are not known."

This was the first time for an American patrol to drive through Dholu'iya since American occupation forces left Iraqi cities and towns on the 30th of last June.
