Several mortars hit al Bakr air base taken by the U.S. occupation forces in the district of Balad, 90 km south of Tikrit City in Saladin Province.

A government source said that: "U.S. forces prevented the approach and closed all roads leading to the headquarters. We do not know material and human damage caused by the incident."
