US Occupation base in military airport in 25 km southern Amara in Maysan Province was subjected to violent attack by Katyusha rockets.

A government source said that "the missiles were fired from a car type of Kia  parked on the roadside near a petrol station. The rockets were fired from three rocket launchers which burned after the escape of the perpetrators".

The source added that: "It has not been possible to get information about the size of the incident where ambulances immediately headed to the scene and presence of police regiments in the streets putting a security cordon closing roads to prevent the passage of wheels with heavy helicopters flowing over the area."
