Dozens of people including children living in al Karamah in Ninowa Governorate were arrested by the American occupation forces.

HEYET Net – After the arrests the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) made a press statement where it condemned the occupation forces who bears black hate at their hearts.

35 people including young and elders were arrested within a series of raids and arrests campaign in Ninowa Governorate.

The statement number 573 stated that on Wednesday, 20 August 2008 after midnight the American occupation forces arrested 35 residents in al Karamah area near al Karamah Bathroom in Ninawa Governorate after blowing the doors of the houses, smashing the furniture, terrorizing children and women.

The occupation forces arrested all man including children under the age of ten years taking them to unknown destination.

In its statement AMSI hold the occupation and the current government fully responsible for the crime demanding the immediate release of the detainees.
