AMSI Delegation at Spain- part 2 Print E-mail

A delegation from the Association of Muslim Scholars visited Spain performing a number of political and media activities headed by Dr. Muhammad Bashar al Faidi the official spokesperson.
 


 

HEYET Net – AMSI delegation participated in the fourth symposium of the committee for solidarity with the Arab World in the city of Gijón in northern Spain from 21 to 27 October 2008.

The Committee for Solidarity with the Arab world is the Spanish Committee established two decades ago and is sympathetic to Arab causes.

The fourth symposium was entitled “the occupation and the right of the resistance” where many Arab and Iraqi figures participated in. Discussions and lectures related to Iraq and Palestine were debated at the symposium.

Before the lecture of Dr. Faidhi the Commission presented a documentary film prepared by the Human Rights Section of the Commission where pictures of a crime committed by American occupation forces, figures of the numbers of martyrs, wounded and displaced people inside and outside Iraq were shown.
 
Immediately after the movie, which concluded with public demonstration took place in the international popular stadium in the conclusion of the Iraqi symposium applauding audience warmly. 


Then, Dr. Mohammed Bashar al-Faidhi gave a speech entitled "Iraqi resistance and challenges." 


Dr. Faidhi in his first part of speech dealt with "the crimes committed by American occupation forces against the Iraqi people.”

In the second part Dr Faidhi talked about the challenges facing resistance confirming the absence of international and regional support. And the Iraqi resistance attacked to ongoing distortion and aims to promote sectarianism.

In the third part Dr Faydhi touched upon "the solution and get out of the Iraqi crisis", through the presentation of a detailed plan to adopt constant national principles including the exit schedule of the occupiers from Iraq and the abolition of the current political process.

After completing the speech of Dr. Bashar al Faidi the audience applauded and voiced admiration for interesting offer to the Iraqi issue by Sheikh Faidhi. Then Sheikh Faidhi responded to questions from the audience.

Ustaz Hazim Abdullah al Bajlani Deputy Secretary-General of Justice and Freedom Party of Kurdistan participated in the seminar held on 27 October 2008 and spoke in his speech on the current situation and the harsh conditions experienced by the Kurdish brothers in northern Iraq. Al Baijalani stressed that these difficult circumstances are the result of the occupation and his aides. He also renewed the position of Kurdistan Freedom and Justice Party who rejects the American occupation. 
 
On the fifth day, the delegation of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq, led by Dr. "Mohammed Bashar al-Faidhi," a member of the Secretariat and the official spokesperson at visiting program to Spain, arrived early on the morning of 29/10/2008 to Madrid, capital city of Spanish. 

The delegation was received by the Deputy Mayor of Post Rad Municipality Manuel Fernandez. 

Delegation then directly went to the Spanish Parliament building, and met with a member of the Spanish Parliament head of the United Left Block, and member of the European Parliament, Kaspal Yamathas, and during the meeting the current situation in Iraq was discussed. 

The delegation of AMSI presented to a member of the Spanish Parliament a full explanation on the status of the American occupation in Iraq, the political and humanitarian situation since the occupation of the country in 2003. 

Then at the Spanish Parliament building Dr. Faidhi, head of the United Left and member of the European Parliament held a joint press conference.

The delegation also met with the President of the Spanish Parliament on 28/10/2008 in the province of Asturias where AMSI Delegation presented during the meeting a summary of the situation in the country. 

After meeting at the same day, with heads of parliamentary blocs in the province of Asturias The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) briefed them on what is happening in the Iraqi arena at the hands of occupation forces as killing, detention and intimidation.

Then, the delegation went to the main television channel in the province where the second channel did an interview with Dr. Basar al Faydi, official spokesman of the AMSI. 

After television interview, radio “Sir” did another interview with Dr. Faydi.

Official spokesperson of the AMSI concluded his visit program in the province meeting with a wide-ranging newspaper first newspaper.
