General Headquarters of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) strongly denounced the footprints in the Parliament of Representatives in Iraq who have signed the Convention on Iraq to comply with the U.S. occupation administration and vote to assure the Iraqi people that the Iraqi Parliament had sold Iraq and its people to the occupier.
 

It did not surprise most members of current Iraqi Parliament of whose masters from the occupiers thought so, then they signed shameful convention…they signed -like thieves- the Convention on the general framework without a discussion of the items, after playing a poor game of pushing and pulling, and making a reluctance for days, to give the image as if they have the resolution to approve or reject.

They have lost their minds because they were in condemning situations nationally, historically and morally. Above all they are guilty of doing this at the seal of the Glorious. The resolution was passed with their own hands in fear or greed of the occupation in this calamity. Because they chose themselves to that in spite of the interests of Iraq and its people. At first hand it is a clear betrayal, because the decision was on their own hands, and they did it deliberately and insisted on greater calamity.

Some political blocs played a role to pass the game, especially those who presented so-called political reform document at a price for the signing of the shameful Convention. A document apparently meant to ensure factional interests, however it in fact bore the seat of political interests and gains based on destruction and selfishness.

In all cases, this bloc has made life assurance -as usual- for the occupation project, just as it did in the constitution at the last minute, under the pretext of guaranteeing access to amend the Constitution paragraphs in the first four months. The result was the passing of the Constitution without any amendments from its article till now.

Today the Convention was passed while they were blocking even though it is a document supportive or the occupation project, damaging higher interests of the Iraqi people. Iraqi people pay its price with the blood under the pretext of the passage of the so-called political reform document. Those who support the convention will not obtain anything from it. They will not be anything only the tool that carried out the game to pass the Convention, and the granting of the occupation project to have last breath.

The vote yesterday was enough to assure the Iraqi people that the members who voted for the Convention has sold the people of Iraq to the occupier, but thank to God the sale was invalid, because they sold what they do not possess.

Iraq will remain for the people who are anti-occupation and so-called political projects by all means of resistance and opposition, while the shame will remain and on the shoulders of those who authorized the convention till the doomsday.

The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) condemns this falsehood cheap sale by most members of Parliament, and alerts those who announced their rejection that the time has come to keep themselves away from the wrong political process which excessively presumed the will of the Iraqi people, general appeals, Islamic Fatwas. The return of them without return, accuracy and transparency require after what happened today is based on division. It is not acceptable to reject the Convention as surface, recognizes it as a conspiracy against Iraq and Iraqis, insist on some other spoilers to stay in the political process under the pretext of seeking to invalidate it. Our people can no longer tolerate any uncertainty in this case and duplication of positions.

We assure the members of parliament who signed the agreement that the occupation will leave soon, and that he would not commit to something which it has no interest. What the Iraqi Parliamentarians did is just giving the U.S. President a fantastic (imaginary) victory, false testimony and the good behavior of a liar. They frustrated themselves and their people.

May Allah Almighty bless who reject the convention and who raise his voice in opposition…How bad for those who cover the humiliation and degradation, and who sold themselves to the devil…
