ImageSecretary General of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) received the delegation from the International Red Cross in his residence in Amman and gave very important messages.

HEYET Net - His Eminence Sheikh Harith al Dhari Secretary General of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) clarified that human being is naturally free and loves freedom and Islam has confirmed this in more than one place.

He recalled the event from Oman bin al Hattab when he said Amr bin al Aas (May Allah bless them) : When you enslaved the people who were born free?

Sheikh Dari added that many people - unfortunately - ignorant of Islam and its teachings, that Islam is careful to human life and freedom, and therefore we are very careful on this point since the first months of the occupation.

The speech came during the reception of a delegation from the International Red Cross in his residence in Amman yesterday morning.

His Eminence was briefed by the delegation to explain the significant efforts undertaken by the Red Cross in Iraq, particularly in relation to detainees in the prisons of the occupation and the government, the miserable situation suffered by the prisoners and detainees.

Secretary General of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) demanded the delegation four things, namely:

1.  Need to inspect the main and secondary prisons of the government and statistics of the detainees and check their names.

2.  Non-delivery of prisons, which are supervised by the American occupation to the government before the evacuation of detainees and release.

3.  Need to work on the ambulance of the detainees in the prison of Boca (new), in where poor care and living conditions, harsh and difficult situation endanger the lives of many of them to death or illness.

4.  Delivery of the released detainees into areas where there is secure access to their families and relatives other than what is happening now.

At the end of the meeting, the Secretary-General thanked Samaha visiting delegation on a visit to wish them success in their work and reminding them that their work is a service to humanity in general not just for Iraqis.
