Expressing their rejection of subversive projects of the occupation a delegation from the Assyrian Movement visited Secretary General of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) in his residence in Damascus.
HEYET Net Special At the visit held on 24 April 2008, Anwar bin Muawiyah al Umawi who is the ameer of Yazidi Community met with Sheikh Harith al Dhari Secretary General of Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) in his residence in Damascus.
The delegation from the Assyrian Movement headed by Mr. Elisha Quechua and members Mr. Martin and Mr. Aichiyar also participated in the visit.
Everybody appreciated the Secretary General and AMSI on adherence to freedom, independence and unity of Iraq; denunciation and rejection of all subversive foreign projects such as partition and security agreements, political and long-term economical aggreements.
They wanted to cooperate with the AMSI in its efforts to reject the occupation and work on anything that could strengthen relations between the sons of the Iraqi people in all spectrums and its components.
His Eminence thanked to the guests for their visit. He also thanked them for keen on Iraq and the unity of its sons away from everything hurts from surges of sectarian, factional, ethnic and religious causes.
The meeting was attended by several members of the Secretariat of the AMSI and employees of its office in Damascus.
