Farouk al-Shara Foreign Minister of Syria.
"Accusations against Syria Republic by some Iraqi politicians and officials neither express nor represent Iraqi people's public opinion." Secretary General of The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) Sheikh Hareth al-Dhari, said.

"They only represent their sponsors and their political authorities," al-Dhari told to the reporters just after a meeting with Syria's Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara.

On the other hand al-Shara said that “Syrian Government will not hand over Iraqi citizens to the Iraqi Government who wants them.”
