APR - The Burning of a Mosque and 17 Houses Print E-mail

ImageAMSI issued a press release condemning the burning of al-Muminoun Mosque and 17 houses in Muqdadiya belong to

Diyala province by the sectarian militias on Saturday.

The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) condemned these cowardly acts; carried the occupation, the current sectarian government who is behind those militias.

Sectarian militias burned al-Muminoun (the believers) mosque in the village Harpetlah at al-Wachiyah district in Miqdadiya. These militias also burned about 17 houses after displacing the people in al-Askari district in the same governorate of Diyala.


These two crimes have been done under the knowledge and support of the government forces that very clearly support them.

Those sectarian militias were from so-called Mahdi Army belong to Sadr Movement, the parties and groups participating in the political process and the government backed by the occupiers.

Such heinous crimes are continuing with the earlier similar crimes targeting mosques, houses, burning and destruction, rape and robbery.

The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) condemns these cowardly acts; carries the occupation and the current sectarian government standing behind those militias fully responsible.
