AMSI made a press statement condemning the arrest campaign carried out by the occupation forces and so-called Muthanna Brigades of the puppet Iraqi government against the citizens of Sayyidiyah.
At the framework of arrest campaign nearly 250 people from the area have been arrested. In arrest campaign which was carried on for several days, more than 250 civilians whose age were reach to fourteen years onward were detained. These arrest clearly show that these forces have still an ugly approach to the civilians as abusing people, destructing their lives based on these forces sectarian roots which was done previously. The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) condemned this barbaric campaign; bearing the occupation forces and current puppet government fully responsible. AMSI demanded them to preserve the safety of the detainees and to release the innocent civilians immediately. AMSI Press Department
