The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) condemned the American occupation forces for raiding the house of Sheikh Ibrahim Rahim Ibrahim Matroud, then expelling and arresting him. At the press release the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) demanded immediate release of the detained Sheikh.
Press Release The American occupation forces raided the house of Sheikh Rahim Ibrahim Matroud imam and preacher of Abu Zarr Al Qaffari Mosque in front of mosque. The forces arrested Sheikh Matroud with a number of his family members on 27 December 2007.
The crime occurred after Sheikh performed holy Hajj (Pilgrim) returning to his home in Al Kamab region after ten minutes. The present crime in the crime series targets the religious and national symbols in the areas that are opposing the occupation, their projects and division.
The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) condemns this heinous crime; carries the occupation and current government fully responsible, demands safety of Sheikh and his family members and immediate release.
