The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) condemned the heinous crime committed by the occupation forces in Al Zanjili area in Mosul City.
The occupation forces with assistance of Iraqi Government forces blew up a building in al Zanjili district in Mosul City where nearly 100 houses destroyed, forty people martyred and more than 200 people wounded.
Press Statement (516) All praise be to Allah, peace and blessings upon the messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad and His Family, His Companions. The American occupation forces proceeded abominable crime against our people in al Zanjili region in the city of Mosul on Wednesday night. These forces with assistance of - as always - current Iraqi Government forces blew up one the buildings in the mentioned district believed to put explosive materials. Then, these forces warned the people of the region for evacuation at nearby houses where some people already left. Many elderly, women and children could not get out of their homes during the coldest days.
After the incident very powerful explosion was heard echoed all around the city which damaged a distance to nearly 2 kilometers. It also damaged directly about 100 houses, destruction of wholly where some of the bodies who could not go out were under the rubbles.
According to the latest statistics the victims of this criminal act are nearly forty martyrs and more than 200 wounded which can be increased because of such a huge explosion. The result of explosion is still to be counting which affected very wide area as a disaster where there is no word to explain.
The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) strongly denounce this crime, stresses that the occupation forces still continues his tireless efforts to bring about discord in Mosul City and other proud Iraqi cities under flimsy and false pretexts even if it causes death of dozens, hundreds of Iraqis.
AMSI demands a swift international investigation to be very attentive on the Iraqi issue to detect dangerous mysteries of this precedent.
May Allah (swt) mercy upon the martyrs, to inspire their parents and relatives fortitude; to give a recovery to the injured citizens. (Amen)
