APR – The Kidnapping of the Archbishop of the Catholic Chaldeans Print E-mail

ImageAMSI published a press release condemning the kidnapping of the Archbishop of the Catholic Chaldeans and killing of three of his companions in Mosul City on Friday afternoon.


The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) demanded the release of detained Archbishop considering that the sons of Christianity are parts of the components of our people and they have rights in this country like the other citizens.

The armed group kidnapped the Archbishop of the Catholic Chaldeans in Yarmouk area in Mosul City with two of his companions and his drives of whose dead bodies were found later.


The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) condemns this act which serves the occupation harming the Iraqi unity, driving a wedge among the components of Iraq.


AMSI calls kidnappers to preserve the safety of the detained person and release him, if they are really thinking of their countries’ interest.


Our Christian citizens are the part of the components of our people and have similar rights in this country like any other citizens.
