AMSI issued a press release condemnin the abduction of a student from Mustansariyah University by the criminal militias.

The criminal militias abducted the girl student Ban Adnan Saba from Mustansiriyah University taking her away to unknown destination.

The criminal militias abducted one university student Mrs Ban Adnan Saba on 3 March 2007 taking her away to an unknown destination.

The abduction occurred after the student went to the Faculty of Arts at Mustansiriyah University last Monday and did not return to her home. After investigation it is found that the militias organized the crime of abduction from the department.

These criminal militias take this university as a place to carry out their crimes at a time when the current government wanted to declare their virtual victory of so-called security plan which is indeed not true and intented to ensure such criminal acts in Iraq. These criminals are working in Iraqi arena to secure the government for a long time.

The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) condemns this heinous crime, carries the occupation, the current government and militia leaders fully responsible for the crime.

AMSI demands to secure campus and purging of these criminals.
