ImageAMSI issued a press release condemning the blatant assault on families who have prominent social status and arresting ten members of them by the American occupation forces.

 

At the press release the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) hold the occupation forces and the current government fully responsible for this heinous crime; demanding immediate release of the arrested people.

American occupation forces arrested ten people from Zariyya al Sayyid (Abdullah Abdul Aziz Sheikh Hamad) on 9 March 2008 with his sons, grandchildren and family members in their homes in al Kain, Sheikh Hamad area belong to al Tarimiyah province.


The occupation forces raided the house at night and smashed the doors, broke the furniture, terrorized women and children – as usual – arresting and taking them to an unknown destination.


It is noteworthy that the occupation forces arrested Mr. Ahmed Hamad Abdul Aziz Sheikh Hamad) and his son Suhaib on Saturday, 8 March 2007, and later raided their house shattering him in barbaric manner, and the theft of sums of money and gold jewel.


The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) condemns this blatant assault on families which have prominent social status in Iraqi society.


AMSI holds the occupation forces and the current government fully responsible for this heinous crime and demands immediate release of the detainees.
