AMSI made a press statement condemning the joint forces from the government forces and the militias for seizure of al Iyaf Mosque in al Iyaf village in Madain.
AMSI blamed the occupation and the current government of being fully responsible for the crime. Press Statement (Number 544) In the name of Allah, the Compassionate the Merciful Praise be to Allah, peace and blessings upon the messenger of Allah, His family and companions. Under the so-called Reconciliation Conference convened by the government in Baghdad, various sectarian groups seized Thursday afternoon on 20 March 2008 led by a certain leadership Mansour Atiyyah and support of the government forces (the owners of the reconciliation projects) on al Iyaf Mosque in al Iyaf village in al Madain.
The cooperation between these criminal groups and government forces in the implementation of a sectarian agenda with it which is not new- is a matter of difference, because these crimes that continue in this way with participation of the government confirms that the current Iraqi Government had not yet fled from the blood of innocent people, and still violating the sanctity of mosques, and the attack on respect of worshipers of Allah (swt).
The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) condemns this crime; holds the occupation and the current government fully accountable for the crimes in which the Iraqi people paid a heavy price.
AMSI calls for return the mosque to the owners and other houses of God which were subjected to similar attacks even during the congregation.
AMSI have people remember a holy verse from the Holy Quran : And who is more unjust than he who prevents (men) from the masjids of Allah, that His name should be remembered in them, and strives to ruin them? (As for) these, it was not proper for them that they should have entered them except in fear; they shall meet with disgrace in this world, and they shall have great chastisement in the hereafter.
