Press Statement (Number 545)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate the Merciful,

Praise be to Allah,

Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, His family and companions.

Day after day, events and facts in various parts of Iraq confirm what we are always saying that the political process which was artificially made by the occupation is on our eyes. Iraq will have further crises, and will not be a solution to the Iraqi problem. And who was selected this for the implementation has become a tool for the elimination of Iraqi people.

They were –still- implementing this agenda, sometimes in the name of “the war on terrorism” and sometimes in the name of “Prosecution for the outlawed people”. It happens once in central Iraq, another in north and third in the south as it is happening today in Basra City and other southern provinces by the hand of al Maliki Government which took it to do these serious tasks to serve for the occupation and other external powers.

We have warned for months that the occupation after failed to prevent events of ethnic, component and sectarian conflicts, will seek another method of destruction and sabotage. This is disintegration, disintegrating one community, one clan, one neighborhood. And today is the day of implementing this method, its tool is the implementation itself: the government its security forces.

This attack hides with potential conflict for the influence, but ultimately meant to enable the agenda associated with the objectives of the occupation with presence and absence.

The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) invites people of Iraq in the south, all the tendencies and affiliations of the people of the cities, villages and clans for the unity and solidarity to prevent threats to the Iraqi people, who oppose the occupation and their suspicious projects.
