AMSI made a press statement to condemn the attacking on (Amara) by the current government's forces and any other attacks that targeted our Iraqi people and tried to force them to accept the political dictates. The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq AMSI) demands the sons of (Amara) to unite their lines and looking for the day that we be free of the occupation and all its supporters.

APS (564) ـــ Attacking (Amara) by the current government's forces 

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate the Merciful,  

Praise is to Allah, Peace and blessings are upon the Messenger of Allah, His family and companions; 

The current government confirms its threat for the people of the city of (Amara), with its forces and polices began a campaign against this city under the name (Bashaer Alsalam : Glad News Peace). 

The current government's forces have stressed the grip on the city's population (250 thousand inhabitants), launching a campaign of raids where arrested about - until this moment - hundreds of employees of the policemen and local residents. 

In the same time; the current government did confess the existence of the excesses of this attack. The political purposes of this attack are no longer hidden, which comes in the context of the liquidation of political opponents of the government and any one stands behind the political blocs in preparation for the upcoming elections… and many eyewitnesses confirmed that reality. 

The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) condemns the attacks that targeted our Iraqi people trying to force them to accept the political dictates. 

The AMSI demands the sons of (Amara) to unite their lines looking for the day that we would be free of the occupation and all of its supporters who decided to be in the occupation's side and be tools to accomplish its plans.
