Dr. Muthanna al Dhari head of Information and Media Department of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (HEYET) strongly re-affirmed non-participation in the political process that was designed under the occupation administration.

In an interview with al Sharqiyya satellite channel, Dr. Muthanna al Dhari asserted the position of HEYET on the political process saying: “From the very beginning, we have said that we will not enter into political process. It is not possible for both principally and politically because this process is based upon wrong foundations. We will not enter into it because current situation confirms that the occupation failed. Since nine years political structure that is established, chosen and fed by the occupation seems to breakup.”

HEYET Information and Media Department head Dr. Muthanna said current conflict and strong opposition among present political parties also is evident of this breakup.

Dr. Muthanna reminded the viewers of press statements of HEYET published since 2003 till now. He stressed that political process carried out in occupied Iraq will not take the country into peace rather it is impossible for this failed process established on the basis of the interest of USA to be a part of solution of peace. Referring to the news in some American and British newspapers Dr. Muthanna pointed out probable coup d’état attempt of Maliki against its partners in the government with start of preparations of political power to finish each other. He predicted that it will pave way to return of US occupation forces to Iraq and it will also help to Barack Obama to get rid of problems that he faces with.

Meanwhile Dr. Muthanna confirmed that due to presence of military and political occupation project of America in Iraq, the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (HEYET) and many people believe that the occupation still continues and has not ended. He asserted that the military occupation project of the USA has temporarily stopped but it will return in order to maintain its political project that is damaging Iraqi people.

Dr. Muthanna Sulaiman al Dhari told that national project for change is not only for the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (HEYET) but for all anti-occupation national forces. He said that current political process which was based on ethnicity and sectarianism has continued with appointment of incapable people whereas heroic Iraqi resistance never accepted this project. Dr. Muthanna stated that components of this process had already agreed upon its content but it was re-formulated later on in order to deceive Iraqis.

He said: “From the beginning, we are very clearly saying that we are with the protection of unity, independence, sovereignty and fortune of Iraq in the interest of all components of the country in favor if its Islamic and Arab identity.” “However, it is impossible to do it under the occupation” said and added:

“As we have previously said and now are saying the political process in Iraq lives with the corruption. The country can no longer bear the presence of such a political system.”

On the other hand in response to the question whether government security forces are in capable of filling the vacuum after withdrawal of American occupation forces Dr. Dhari said that these forces are temporary of which being is linked to the American occupation. Therefore America has not become distance from those forces and still they did not collapse under its protection.

For the exaggerated number of government security forces in the country, HEYET Information and Media Department head stated that their numbers are limited and they are not eager to fight. He remarked that those government forces are defending for their salaries and personal or partisan interests in spite of defending the unity, freedom or interest of the country and countrymen.

At the end of interview, Dr. Muthanna al Dhari expressed that prime minister of fifth government is not able to keep border neither inside nor outside despite holding all opportunities and authorities in Iraq. He concluded his speech emphasizing that the mission of government army is to provide the Green Zone not to be collapsed.
