The Union of NGOs of the Islamic World (UNIW) issued a press statement regarding the latest Israeli bloody attacks on Gaza.

Israel has begun genocide and attempted to occupy Gaza. Tens of Palestinians, regardless of being civilians (babies and children), have been martyred just after the illegal and inhumane embargo.

Israel performed the bloodiest massacre of the last forty years in March 1, 2008, targeting event the government building in Gaza. The international powers’ passive policy towards this horrifying massacre is more regretful than the crime itself.

Unfortunately Muslim world are merely spectators to this atrocity. Israel takes courage from Muslim countries’ insensitivity, and has been increasing her violence day by day. Israel has been implementing illegal and unjust plans step by step like the occupation of Palestinian territory, isolation of West Bank and Gaza, trying to pull down Masjid al-Aqsa, imprisonment of thousands of innocent people including Palestinian deputies, imposing embargo on Gaza. Israel imposes her attitudes and conduct mischievously to humanity, particularly to the Muslim world. Hence, Muslim countries have to put in action all of their potential powers and resources before it’s too late.

The meeting of the United Nations’ urgent assembly and call Israel for halting this slaughter was recorded in history as inapplicable, ignored, and inefficient decree.

For this situation, Muslim world has to take an immediate action against the bloodiest massacre of the human history.

In this context, the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) urgently has to assemble, put Gaza on the agenda, assign an efficient and sustainable action plan and strictly implement it.

On the other hand, the state of Egypt has to open Gaza crossing border and allow transfers of all kinds of relief, assistance and support to Gaza.

Palestinians must not allow any kinds of sedition and disturbance to infiltrate into them. Authorities must abstain from all sorts of policies which can show weakness and bring damage to the Palestinian integrity.

We call all Muslims to declare mobilization for Palestinian people, Gaza, Masjid  al-Aqsa and al-Quds (Jerusalem).

We do summon non-governmental organizations for an urgent action to unveil Israel’s plans and to help on monetary, spiritual, worldly manner in order to increase public awareness. 

We call for mass media to show necessary sensitivity for Palestinian issue and to reflect the tragedy in Palestine to the world unbiased and clearly.

Humanity has been taking one of the most important examinations. If this situation remains unchanged, future generations will remember it very regretfully and ashamedly today’s people who are indifferent to Israel’s atrocity.

Finally, we call for Muslim World to take action and pray for Gaza, al-Quds, Masjid al-Aqsa which was our first qiblah.
