The GCC countries council demanded from the United States to open an investigation into the killings and torture committed by the occupation forces against Iraqis which were exposed and published by Wikileaks site within the secret documents recently. Secretary-General of the Council Abdel Rahman Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah clarified in a statement issued by the Council on Sunday that the U.S. bears direct legal responsibility for all crimes and violations committed by its occupying forces in Iraq, according to international norms and conventions ..He called on America to open a serious and transparen investigation including the contents of published documents from the information for the crimes against humanity. At the end of statement, he also called for the United Nations and the international community to take resolute steps to investigate crimes committed in Iraq and compensate the affected citizens away from the bias and double standards.
